ENGAGE YOUTH, BUILD YOUR TEAM, REDUCE BURNOUT Managing school-age kids after hours is tough. They're tired, overstimulated, and impulsive. Your team is dealing with conflicts, blame cycles, and negativity. This workshop tackles both: how to engage kids through play AND how to build a stronger team culture. YOU'LL LEARN: What executive function is and why it matters for kids AND staff "Edutainment" techniques: play-based strategies that increase youth participation and program buy-in How to address team challenges like blame, negativity, and competition through role play and collaborative games Communication skills that improve empathy, perspective-taking, and teamwork Practical tools you can use immediately with kids and colleagues WHY IT WORKS: This workshop alternates between active, hands-on activities and focused learning to keep energy high. You'll practice with real scenarios tailored to out-of-school care environments. You'll leave with strategies you can implement Monday.
