Capacity Under Pressure Level 2 Workshop
The map was Level 1. Level 2 is the terrain.
Time & Location
Apr 15, 2026, 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Cochrane Emergency Training Services, 218 5th Ave, Cochrane, AB T4C 0S4, Canada
About the event
The intro session gave something you didn't have when you walked in.
A map. A language. A framework for understanding what's actually been happening to your brain, and why pushing harder hasn't been working.
You named your drains. You identified the holes in the bucket. You practiced four tools that can reset your nervous system in under 60 seconds. And you wrote down the one thing you most need to remember.
That was the first-aid kit.
The Core workshop is where we build the infrastructure.
Not a patch. Not another technique to add to the pile. A real, personalized system for protecting and expanding your capacity,
built around how your brain actually works, in the conditions you're actually living in.
New to Capacity Under Pressure?
Never attended Level 1? No problem, we'll orient you at the start so you can jump in with everyone else.
Our intro level provided:
• A map of what pressure does to your brain
• Four body-based regulation tools
• Three decision-making frameworks
• A one-page capacity audit
• One minimum effective dose action
That's the first-aid kit. It slows the drain.
What Core gives you:
• Deep mastery of all 9 executive functioning skills
• Your personal cognitive load map
• Role-specific application of every tool
• An introduction to communication under pressure
• A personal brain fitness sustainability plan
That's your infrastructure. It rebuilds the bucket.

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD IN THREE HOURS
The 9 Executive Functioning Skills: Named, Mapped, and Yours
Most people have heard the term executive functioning. Almost nobody has been taught what all 9 skills are, how they developed - or didn't, and which ones are most vulnerable to the specific pressures of their role. In Core, we go there. You will leave knowing your own EF profile: where you're strong, where you're depleted, and why.
Your Personal Cognitive Load Map
Not a generic stress model. A map built around your role, your patterns, and your specific vulnerability windows, the times of day, the types of demands, and the conditions under which your executive functioning is most at risk. This is the tool that changes daily behaviour, not just workshop behaviour.
The Triangulation Method: Applied to Your Real World
The triangulation method is the three-pillar framework that underlies everything Village of Play teaches: executive functioning skills, neuroscience learning habits (so you remember what you learn!), and the C.A.P.T.A.I.N. communication under pressure framework. In Core, we go deeper into the first two pillars and introduce the third, how your communication style shifts under cognitive load, and what that costs you and the people around you.
Brain Fitness in a VUCA World
VUCA: volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous isn't just a business term. It's the lived experience of everyone in a high-demand role right now. In Core, we apply your brain fitness skills directly to VUCA conditions: how to maintain decision quality when the rules keep changing, how to regulate when the threat is ambiguous, how to protect cognitive capacity when the volatility is structural rather than temporary.
A Brain Fitness Sustainability Plan: Built for Real Life
Not a goal-setting exercise. Not an ideal version of your life. A realistic, role-specific, minimum-effective-dose plan for protecting your capacity over time, that you can actually use the week you walk out of the room.
WHO THIS IS FOR
This workshop is designed for people who are still showing up. Still delivering. Still giving everything to work that matters, and privately running on less than they should be.
